Keynote presentations were delivered by Simron Jit Singh, of the Austrian Institute for Social Ecology, on Negociating Diversity: Interactions between Nature and Culture; and by Eva Nowotny and Yvonne Gimpel, both from the Austrian UNESCO Commission, on Cultural Diversity: Changing Perspectives through the UNESCO Convention.
