Information market
At the information market you will have the possibility to bring material to present the work of your organisation and to get to know the activities of other EMC members and participants of the conference.

 

Project presentation
EMC members will be offered to present inspiring projects concerning the subject Musical Diversity.The presented projects should be innovative and exemplary and serve as applicable model for participating organisations. Please submit your proposal for project presentation by filling this PDF form (or this Word file). Deadline for submission of the project proposals is 1 March 2010.

Language
The general language of the Conference and the Annual Meeting is English.

Fees
The participation fee for members of the European Music Council is 100,- Euros/ person, for non-members 150,- Euros/person. For participants younger than 30 years, the participation fee is 75,- Euros per person, for young people not representing an EMC member the fee is 100,- Euros.
Due to high credit transfer costs, participants from countries without the Euro currency may pay the fee in cash in Euros, upon arrival.

Solidarity Fund
The EMC has installed a solidarity fund to help its members which have weak finances to take part in the European Forum on Music. To apply for this fund, please fill in this PDF application form (or this Word file) and send it back to EFM@emc-imc.org.

Terms of registration
The cancellation of the registration is possible until two weeks before the beginning of the event (1 April 2010). Afterwards we will charge 50% of the participation fee. If you did not inform us about your cancellation before the 10 April you will have to pay the full fee. Thank you for your understanding.

Travel expenses
Travel costs to and from Vienna are at the participants' own expenses.

How to get to Vienna
By plane:
You will find useful information at the website of the Vienna International Airport on www.viennaairport.com. To reach the city centre, take the City Airport Train (CAT) until “Wien-Mitte“. You will find more information about it on www.cityairporttrain.com. From Wien-Mitte the University of Music and Performing Arts is in walking distance.
By train:
you will find information about the Austrian train system on www.oebb.at. Most international train connections will bring you to the station Vienna West, “Wien Westbahnhof“. From there you may take the line 3 of the underground (U-Bahn Linie 3) in direction “Simmering“. Get off at station “Landstraße“. You will find the exact schedule here and more information on the public transport in Vienna on www.wienerlinien.at.

 

Accommodation
The EMC reserved a certain number of rooms in the Grand Hotel Mercure Biedermeier and in the Hotel Mercure am Konzerthaus. Both hotels are in walking distance to the conference venue. Both Mercure hotels will offer a special rate for the conference: 75 € for a single room, and 85 € for a double room, per night including breakfast. In order to get the special rates, please book your room directly at one of the hotels using one of the booking forms available on the online registration form.

 

Concerts
A composers' lounge will take place on Friday 16th April in the Jazz Club Porgy and Bess, Spiegelgasse 2, 1010 Vienna. The entrance is free for the EFM participants.
Thanks to the support of Jeunesses Musicales Austria and of the Austrian Music Council, the EFM participants will get the chance to attend an exciting concert in the Musikverein of Vienna on Saturday 17th April, for the special price of 10 Euros. You can book your concert ticket by clicking the corresponding item on the online registration form (this is a binding booking!) and by adding 10 Euros to your registration payment. The Musikverein is situated Bösendorferstraße 12, 1010 Vienna.

Opening
The check-in desk of the conference will be open at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna on Thursday, 15 April 2010 from 17:30 on. The conference will start with a welcome evening at 19:30 in the University.
