Musical Diversity – Looking Back, Looking Forward
15 to 18 April 2010, Vienna, Austria

The European Music Council (EMC), together with the Austrian Music Council and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, hosted the EMC Annual Meeting 2010 and the first European Forum on Music, entitled Musical Diversity – Looking Back, Looking Forward, which took place in Vienna from 15 - 18 April 2010.

Delegates were invited to look at the changes that have taken place over the past ten years and at our expectations for the coming decade with regards to musical diversity:

•  To what extent has musical diversity played a role in national as well as
    in European culture policies?
•  How is this reflected in the respective legislation?
•  How do we as music organisations implement musical diversity in our
    different work fields?
•  How can we guarantee musical diversity in the future?
