FULL SCORE: Update on Project Activities

In August 2014 we were informed that AEC had been successful in its application under the new Creative Europe Culture sub-programme call, 'Support to European Networks' and that its project proposal, 'FULL SCORE' had been approved. Read more

Important developments on the AEC members database

Some important changes have just been implemented in the Members Area of the AEC Website. Based on the recommendations provided by the Polifonia WG 5 on Recognition, Monitoring and Joint Degrees, as well as the FULL SCORE student Working Group, the AEC has developed the Members Area with new fields of information. Registration is still open for the 2015 EPARM conference (Graz, 23-24 April) 

The next meeting of the European Platform for Artistic Research in Music (EPARM) will take place at the University of Performing Arts in Graz (Austria) on 23-24 April. The theme of the meeting will be "(Re-)processing Research: musical practice as both source and target domain for artistic research in music". Read more


An overview of the PJP meeting in Valencia

The latest edition of the Pop and Jazz Platform took place at the Berklee College of Music in Valencia (Spain) on 13th and 14th February 2015. The meeting was entitled "Pop/Jazz and ME: Developing diversity and identities among artists and audiences". Read more


Update on the work of the AEC International Relations Coordinators (IRCs) Working Group

After a successful conference at the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg, the International Relations Coordinators Developmental Working Group met at the AEC office on 23rd and 24th February 2015 for an intensive and very productive meeting aimed at planning the work of the group during the 3-year period of the "Full Score" project, planning the next Annual Meeting for International Relations Coordinators due to take place at the Ionian University of Corfu (Greece) on 25-27 September 2015 and setting up priorities for its main focus in the coming years. AEC is pleased to announce that it has received several interesting applications for the vacancy for a new Chief executive officer that will be created by the retirement of Jeremy Cox at the end of August 2015. Read more

Latest news from MusiQuE Music Quality Enhancement

MusiQuE - Music Quality Enhancement, the Foundation for Quality Enhancement and Accreditation in Higher Music Education, is operational since October 2014. The MusiQuE Board held its second meeting on 12-13 March 2015 and the MusiQuE website has been launched. Read more


PHExcel project: pilot review on excellence to be held at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw

The Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Theory of Music and Music Therapy of the Karol LipiÅ"ski Academy of Music in WrocÅ'aw has volunteered to undergo a Professional Higher Education Excellence Pilot Review in May 2015. Read more
