Call for papers: EAS2016 is now open!

The EAS is calling out for Papers for their upcoming 24th EAS Conference in Vilnius.

You are warmly invited to submit: Spoken research papers, Spoken practice papers, Posters, Demonstrations / Workshops.

Main themes: Concepts of creativity, Teaching creatively and for creativity, Innovation in music education.

We invite participants to consider: Why is it important to educate for creativity? How do we recognise a creative learner and how do we measure his/her creativity? What does it mean to be creative in music? What hinders creativity? What are the characteristics of creative pupils, students, and professional artists? What are the features of a creative music teacher, and what does it mean to teach creatively? How do we develop students' creativity?

Conference fee: Early bird registration and payment before January 16, 2016: € 150. Late payment: € 190. To attend the conference you are required to be a member of EAS. The conference fee includes the opening reception, coffee breaks, lunches, the conference dinner, concerts and a certificate of attendance.

Important dates:

  • November 1, 2015 - deadline for abstract submission
  • December 1, 2015 - notification of abstract acceptance
  • January 16, 2016 - early bird registration and payment
  • March 16-19, 2016 - main Conference
