The European Composer and Songwriter Alliance published it's November newsletter.

ECSA announces the third edition of the Creators Conference, which will take place on 19-20 of February 2013 at the Theatre Vaudeville in Brussels. The COnference is under the high Patronage of the European Parliament and will gather politicians, EC civil servants and music business representatives, as well as creators, who will debate new technologies, authors’ rights, artistic freedom and the directive on collective rights management. A registration protal is available on www.creatorsconference.org.

The Global Repertoire Database Working Group kicked off on October 18th the Release and Design Phase, which will last until May 2013. This phase of the project aims to analyze closely how the different copyright databases of participating societies operate in order to harmonize their back-office systems.

ECSA joined the Arts and Freedom of Expression Network (ARTSFEX), which is an international, civil society network of organizations and individuals actively concerned with the right of authors to freedom of creative expression, as well as with issues relating to human rights and freedoms generally.

And ECSA also joined the CEPS task force on copyright in the EU digital single market, which will hold three workshops on copyright licensing, copyright exceptions and levies, as well as online copyright enforcement and the role intermediaries.
