New Release: The Händel Festival Collection

Georg Friedrich Händel's body of work includes 42 operas, 25 oratorios, numerous cantatas and orchestral works and also pieces for piano, various chamber works, and sacred music. Arthaus Musik is now releasing a unique box set, The Handel Festival Collection, comprising the operas Admeto, Tamerlano and Teseo, and an additional documentary titled Barockstar (107548).

New Release: Johann Strauß Gala

In 1999, the Strauss anniversary year, the Vienna Philharmonic came up with an open-air concert in the heart of Vienna featuring works by Johann Strauß senior who, together with his son, cemented the reputation of this beautiful city on the Danube as the world capital of waltz. Spanish tenor José Carreras and the Hungarian soprano Andrea Rost were both invited to sing arias and duets at the Johann Strauß Gala under the baton of Zubin Mehta. (102208 / 108174)

New Release: Henry Purcell: The Fairy Queen

The production of Purcell's The Fairy Queen launched in 1995 by the English National Opera was received with great enthusiasm by both the public and musical press. The Cleveland Orchestra / Franz Welser-Möst

Clasart Classic continues its close collaboration with The Cleveland Orchestra under the baton of its principal conductor Franz Welser-Möst with a Brahms Cycle. After the recording of the Violin Concerto with Julia Fischer, whose "magnificent" (The Plain Dealer) performance was hailed by the press, and of the Symphony No. 4 at Severance Hall in Cleveland, the Symphonies No. 2 and 3 were recorded at the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna. New Year's Celebrations: Gala From Berlin 2014 

Together with piano virtuoso Menahem Pressler, the Berliner Philharmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle, EuroArts celebrated a festive New Year's Eve at the Philharmonie Berlin. ICMA International Classical Music Awards 2015 announces the winners!

We congratulate our winning IMZ members: Accentus Music won "Label of the Year" and "Special Achievement Award", San Francisco Symphony ist he winner of the category best Opera CD, Opus Arte wins the best DVD performance and ARTHAUS Musik won the prize for the best DVD documentary! This year again, the IMZ, represented by General Secretary Franz Patay, was member of the Jury. The Award Ceremony and Gala Concert will take place on 28 March at the Bilkent Hall, hosted by the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra.

Accentus Music is ICMA Label of the Year 2015

Documentary "In Between: Isang Yun in North and South Korea" receives Grimme-Preis nomination 

Accentus Music is delighted and honored to announce that its music documentary "In Between: Isang Yun in North and South Korea", directed by Maria Stodtmeier, has been nominated for the "Grimme-Preis 2015", one of the most prestigious awards for German television. This documentary, filmed in North and South Korea, explores whether music can overcome the boundaries of a divided country. The awards ceremony will be held at Theater Marl on March 27th, 2015.

Nomination for a 2015 Grammy Award 

The DVD release of Hippolyte et Aricie has been nominated in the Best Opera Recording category of the 2015 Grammy Awards. The awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on 8 February 2015... 2015 International Emmy Awards Competition Is Open! 

The International Emmy Awards competition was founded with a mission to recognize excellence in television produced outside of the United States and presents International Emmy Awards in twenty-one categories. The International Academy also recognizes US Primetime programming produced 50% or more in non-English languages, with the Non-English US Primetime Programme category which was added to the competition in 2014.

The 5th European Forum on Music - Access to Music is Digital?
