Only 3 months till the 25th EAS Conference and 6th ISME Regional Conference in Salzburg

The 25th EAS Conference / 6th European ISME Regional Conference with the main theme “JOINT (AD)VENTURE MUSIC – Networking as a challenge for music teachers” will take place at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Austria), from 19 to 22 April 2017. The following keynote-speakers will present at the conference:

· Susan O’Neill (Canada)

· Andreas Lehmann-Wermser (Germany)

· David R. M. Irving (Australia)

Registration for the EAS Conference in Salzburg

The registration is already online available on the EAS website. Early bird registration and payment is open until February 15 with a conference fee of 165 EUR. For late registration and payment (after February 15) the conference fee is 195 EUR.

Some information about special offers around the conference

· School visits on Wednesday morning: As part of the congress in April, there will be the opportunity to visit primary and secondary Austrian schools on Wednesday morning in Salzburg. · Musical walk on Wednesday afternoon: On Wednesday afternoon, you will have the chance to attend (or: we invite you to attend) a musical tour in Salzburg following the tracks of Salzburg composers. You will have the possibility to hear live performed music on historical spots in the city center of Salzburg.

· Sight-seeing in Salzburg: The conference team has a cooperation with a tourist office which offers a selection of interesting sights in and around Salzburg. Please visit the following sites:

Release of “Open Ears – Open Minds”

We are happy to announce the release of “Open Ears – Open Minds. Listening and Unterstanding Music”, issue 6 from the EAS series European Perspectives on Music Education. The book is based on results from the 2015 EAS Conference in Rostock and was edited by Oliver Krämer and Isolde Malmberg.
