Sounds in Europe #8 now published
The 8th edition of the European Music Council's (EMC) annual magazine, Sounds in Europe, has been published. The EMC has been editing the magazine since 2005. It provides detailed background information on European cultural policy and topics of special interest for the music sector.
Over 120 music practitioners from across Europe came to Glasgow to discuss the role of music in the regeneration of cities, and whether, and if so then how, this can be applied to a broader European context.
Launch of new EMC project: Make Music! Be Heard!
The European Music Council is pleased to announce the launch of its new Youth in Action funded project Make Music! Be Heard!. This project seeks to give young people the know-how and confidence to make a stand for their needs and rights, whilst at the same time help the ‘older generation’ recognise the benefits of including young people in all aspects of an organisation’s activity.
