Working Group Youth

The Working Group Youth of the European Music Council aims to enhance youth participation within the EMC's member organisations. Therefor the WGY is striving to spread  the idea of the necessity of co-operation between different generations among all members. Especially acceptance and involvement of young participants must become a serious issue for all music organisations.

The WGY knows about the additional value, which is established by common work. That is why we do encourage all kinds of co-operation with the young generation, in order to stimulate the exchange of positive experiences and to try to agree on common goals and objectives. Therefore the WGY presents special youth topics and projects to the EMC and acts as an advisory body.

The goals of the WGY:

  • To have 100 network members
  • To have all EMC member organisations represented in the network
  • Realisation of the running project
  • Five EMC member organisations who do not have a board member under the age of 30 yet, get a board member of this age
  • Having a event with all network members in 2010

In order to realise these goals the WGY commitee needs strong support of an international and creative network.

The WGY publishes Newsletters on a regular basis. Register here or have a look on the last Newsletter.
