Since 2010 the WGY has been concentrating its energies on its Access! project involving a European Youth Forum on Music in Torino in October and the creation of a Manifesto for Youth and Music in Europe.

The WGY works closely with other youth committees and organisations and is represented on the Youth Advisory Group of the International Music Council. It was invited to contribute to the programme of IMC's 4th World Forum on Music in September 2011 in Tallinn.

The WGY also traditionally contributes to the EMC's European Forums on Music, providing ice-breakers and by holding separate sessions for young participants.
