Snapshots on Music & Heritage in Europe and SHIFT

Snapshots on Music and Heritage in Europe is out! As a follow-up to the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH) in 2018, where the European Music Council (EMC) played an active role as advocate for intangible cultural heritage in the debate, this book provides a non-exhaustive overview on the wide range of musical expressions that exist in Europe.

The EMC is proud to share with you the successful application of the project SHIFT - Shared Initiatives for Training - a future  ERASMUS+ funded project with 8 other cultural networks. The project will officially start in December 2019!

Open Club Day on 1 February 2020

Concerts and live music acts are a huge part of the European culture as they take place in essential cultural and social sites where people can meet and exchange. On Saturday, 1st of February 2020, live music venues & clubs all over Europe open their doors on the same day during daytime and invite the audience to discover what is happening behind the scenes.
The Open Club Day initiated by our EMC Member Live DMA allows strengthening the connection of the venues & clubs with their local communities. At the same time, it connects local stages all over Europe in a strong solidarity movement that reaffirms their importance as cultural, economic, and social actors.
