Czech Music Council - CMC
The Czech Music Council is a national section of the non-govermental organisation International Music Council. It has been founded in the year 1972. It associates 45 important collective members (associations of festivals, orchestras and choirs, artists and musicologists..) and organisations of the professional and non-professional sector, organisations working in production, theory and education, media and copyright. It serves as an umbrella organisation especially for the classic music, but not only.
The main objectives are: culture policy activities, working in the international network, education and support of contemporary art, prizes of the Czech Music Council as an instrument for drawing attention to interesting people working for Czech music culture.
