In the US, the music industry and music educators came together in the “Support Music Coalition” to raise the awareness of the importance of music education with the support of the NAMM Foundation. The workshop will introduce how this coalition works and present practical tools and communication models. Participants of the workshop are invited to bring their own examples of advocacy work for music education. Together we will examine what can be transferred to and develop joint ideas for the situation of music education in Europe. The experiences of the Bonn Declaration for Music Education in Europe will be taken into account.
