Members of the European Music Council elect a new Board
|

|
Within the frame of the Annual Meeting of the European Music Council the members have elected a new Board for the next 2 years. |
|
The EMC Board is comprised of 7 representatives of EMC members to decide on content and the strategic outline. |

As a musician and manager Victoria Liedbergius knows “both sides”, the artistic and the practical sides of the music world. Victoria’s vast experience in different European and international working groups and bodies and her openness to different music styles and European as well as non-European cultures represent a good basis for her work in the Board of the European Music Council. |

► Live DMA - European Network for Live Music Associations |
|
Audrey Guerre coordinates Live DMA network for the last 7 years. She has been deeply involved in the development of the organisation on the strategic and political levels as well as on the implementation of the activities and the management of the network of members. |

Willem van Moort - as Treasurer |

►The European Music School Union (EMU) |
|
Willem has a background both as a professional musician and as an arts administrator. The experience of working as a musician has shown the mindfulness and sensitivity which he displays as director of BplusC in Leiden, The Netherlands, where he oversees not only the local music schools, but also the library and other cultural institutions. |

Joanna Grotkowska |

► The Polish Music Council |
|
Joanna Grotkowska, musicologist, music critic and journalist, has been involved in the Polish Music Council activity for more than 14 years as a managing director of the Polish Music Foundation. For almost three decades she has been active as a Polish Radio music journalist achieving an outstanding position in the Polish music society as a competent and persevering new music promoter. |

David Zsoldos, Founder and CEO of Papageno (Budapest), started off as a successful pianist, giving solo and orchestral concerts from Los Angeles to Salzburg. As a journalist, communication & media expert and event manager he’s been involved in high profile projects around the world eg. Sziget Festival, Cirque du Soleil, Cliburn Competition. |

Harrie van den Elsen looks back on a broad and comprehensive professional career as performing musician, as teacher, music theorist and music researcher as well as a manager, cultural politician and head of music higher education institutions. He is highly experienced in working with music-related organisations both on national level in the Netherlands, but above all at European and international level. |

Michalis Karakatsanis |

► International Associations of Music Information Centres (IAMIC) |
|
Michalis Karakatsani's vocation in different domains of music and genres as well as his skills and experience make him an operative worker in the music field. Moreover, as a key member of the IAMIC Board as actual president, he is in an ideal position to enable effective links and collaborations between the two important networks. |

The European Music Council (EMC) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the development and promotion of all kinds of music and to being involved in the fields of music education, creation, performance, documentation, management, publishing and heritage in Europe. The EMC contributes to a better understanding amongst people about their different cultures and promotes the right of different musical cultures to coexist. It provides real value to its members and the broader sector through the analysis of policy developments and the formulation of policy statements, capacity building and knowledge exchange as well as networking opportunities within and beyond the music sector on an international platform. As part of the International Music Council (IMC), the EMC strategies and actions honour the 5 IMC Music Rights. |
