This survey is part of the GreenBeat Nexus initiative, a forward-looking project co-funded by the European Union through the Music Moves Europe framework under the Creative Europe Programme. The initiative aims to support and accelerate the green transition across the European music ecosystem.

Aligned with the ambitions of the EU Green Deal, GreenBeat Nexus works to embed sustainability as a fundamental and cross-cutting principle in all areas of the music sector. This includes grass-roots initiatives, festivals, touring, large-scale events, community and amateur music, education and training, as well as the environmental impact of streaming and emerging technologies.

About the survey

The survey is structured into four sections:

  • Profile information - to better understand respondents while ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Current practices - exploring your engagement with eco-responsibility
  • Needs assessment - identifying challenges and support requirements
  • Future perspectives - gathering insights on how the sector can advance the green transition

We particularly encourage participation from music professionals and sustainability experts who are based and active in Creative Europe countries.

Why participate?

You can provide valuable insights that will directly inform the development of:

  • practical tools
  • capacity-building programmes
  • targeted funding opportunities

Your input will help shape meaningful support for a more sustainable music sector.

All in all, it should take a maximum of 12 minutes to answer this survey. The more we know about your needs, the better we will be able to develop information tools, capacity programmes and funding support tailored for the transition of the music sector towards greener practices.

Deadline: 31 May 2026
