14th European Forum on Music - Music, Health and Wellbeing
Timisoara, Romania, 9-12 June 2026
The 14th European Forum on Music brought together professionals from across Europe to explore the relationship between music, health and wellbeing.
Over three days, the Forum examined how music can support physical and mental health, strengthen resilience and foster connection. The programme addressed music in healthcare, prevention and recovery, as well as community initiatives that tackle isolation and expand access to music in hospitals, prisons and other settings.
The Forum also placed the wellbeing of musicians and music professionals at the centre of the conversation, highlighting the need for healthier working conditions and more sustainable careers.
Through keynotes, discussions, workshops, project presentations and collective music-making, EFM 2026 created a space for exchange, participation and shared musical experience.
The EFM 2026 was organised by the European Music Council in partnership with the Asociația Scena Muzicală (RO) and the The Center for Projects of the Municipality of Timișoara. It will take place at the Cinema Studio Timișoara. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to not miss registration!
