It demonstrates that an intentional, deliberate investment in music – across education, well-being, economic growth, sustainable urbanisation and human development – produces a return on investment across a number of SDG targets and indicators.

The Guide then proposes 10 key actions any government or organisation can take, to better leverage music in their communities to meet the SDGs, including committing to gender equality, fair pay and recognising and investing in the value of music intellectual property.
